TV show Supergirl is closing in on its end – only three episodes left. The last, sixth season of the show finished filming last August, and the main star Melissa Benoist left Vancouver where all Arrowverse shows are filming and returned home to Los Angeles.
Although Supergirl will soon join Arrow and Black Lightning as the third Arrowverseshow that reached its end, many fans are wondering will Melissa ever wear the red cape again. And in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Benoist revealed she’s all for it if she gets the chance.
“I am not opposed to putting on the suit again and I know there probably will be opportunities to, I love playing with Grant Gustin. I love Tyler Hoechlin and Bitsie Tulloch on Superman & Lois. So no, I’m not opposed to it.”

Considering that Arrowverse is a whole universe of DC shows, bringing Supergirl back would be piece of cake if writers would be willing to do it. During the last six years, Supergirl established a friendship with Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen/The Flash, whose show will start season 8 soon. Also, Tyler Hoechlin, who stars in Superman & Lois, debuted as the Man of Steel in Supergirl Season 2. Superman & Lois Season 2 will start in early 2022.
So, never say never. Supergirl will finish its airing on November 9 with a two-episode series finale.
