Michael Keaton Teases His Return As Adrian Toomes/The Vulture In The Future
Batman, Birdman, and Spider-Man: Homecoming star Michael Keaton will soon don the cape and cowl of Batman again in the upcoming movies The Flash and Batgirl, which are set to be released in November and December this year, respectively.
But, even though Keaton is set to make his big comeback in DC, his work at Marvel seems far from done. Keaton played Adrian Toomes, also known as the Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Toomes was a family man who was actually an arms dealer of illegal alien technology.
The biggest plot twist of the movie was when it was revealed that Toomes is actually the father of Liz, a girl from school who Peter Parker had a crush on. Peter fought Vulture when he tried to rob Tony Stark’s plane with a lot of advanced technology. Although Vulture seemed determined to kill Spider-Man, Spider-Man actually managed to stop him and save his life at the same time.
After he was arrested, Toomes refused to reveal Spider-Man’s identity to other criminals, showing that he still respects Spider-Man for saving his life and the life of his daughter. But, was that all of Vulture’s story, or we are going to see him again?
Don’t worry, we definitely will see Keaton as Toomes again. When the first trailer for Morbius was released, the biggest surprise was when Keaton showed up as Toomes again. That was back when Morbius was supposed to be released in July 2020, but since then, the movie was delayed seven times and we still didn’t get a chance to see it.
Morbius was delayed last time from January 2022 to April 1, 2022, and although some fans think it’s due to the pandemic, some think that it’s because the movie had to do some reshoots because a lot of changes happened in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe with the release of Venom 2, and especially after Spider-Man: No Way Home.
It is not unknown if some reshoots were undertaken, but Keaton recently posted on Instagram seemingly a simple picture, but with an intriguing caption.
“Little A Toomes work today” — Michael Keaton on Instagram
Keaton was recently seen on the set of the Batgirl movie, where he was seen wearing a Batman suit. We are expecting to see Keaton as Toomes again in the Morbius movie, but will he be a part of Sony’s Spider-Man Universe after that, remains to be seen.
