Netflix Revealed New Trailer For The Witcher Season 2
Geralt of Rivia will soon be back! And he’s got many new monsters to slay!
Today, Netflix released a new trailer for the highly anticipated second season of the fantasy adventure show The Witcher. In the trailer, we see how the main character Geralt of Rivia, portrayed by Henry Cavill will continue the adventure with Freya Allan’s Ciri, who will be less of a princess, and more of a warrior in the second season it seems. The third main character, Anya Chalotra‘s sorceress Yennefer is also there on her own adventure, but it’s quite sure Geralt’s and her’s path will cross again.
The official synopsis of the second season:
“Convinced Yennefer’s life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside.”
The Witcher is based on a series of fantasy novels by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski. Lauren Schmidt Hissrich returns as the showrunner in the second season. Season 3 is already in development.
The Witcher Season 2 will premiere on December 17, 2021.
