New ‘Creature Commandos’ Character and Plot Details Leak Online

Even though James Gunn and Peter Safran have said many times that Superman will officially start the DCU, the cinematic universe will technically begin on December 5, 2024, with the release of Creature Commandos.

Creature Commandos is an adult animated TV series based on the DC Comics team of the same name. It will be the first show in the DCU and follows a black ops team of monsters assembled by Amanda Waller. All seven episodes are written by James Gunn, who is also the showrunner, with Yves “Balak” Bigerel as the supervising director.

Since the show is highly anticipated, it’s no surprise that spoilers and leaks are already circulating online. An X user named ThwipT shared some leaks with their followers, though it’s worth noting that their track record with leaks is “mixed” at best.

However, this latest leak seems more reliable than usual. The press has already had access to the show, making the source appear credible.

According to the leak, James Gunn makes an appearance in the show, and Lisa Frankenstein is one of the surviving members of the team. By the end, a new Creature Commandos lineup is formed, and Batman’s shadow is seen at one point.

If these leaks turn out to be accurate, it looks like the show will follow the classic James Gunn style. The most significant leak is Batman’s shadow, which suggests that the Dark Knight may appear in the DCU before Superman. By analyzing the silhouette, we might even be able to guess the type of suit Gunn is planning for Batman.

The Creature Commandos cast features Steve Agee as John Economos, Maria Bakalova as Princess Ilana Rostovic, and Anya Chalotra as Circe. Frank Grillo voices Rick Flag Sr., while Sean Gunn plays both G.I. Robot and Weasel.

Other notable voice actors include David Harbour as Eric Frankenstein, Alan Tudyk as Doctor Phosphorus, Indira Varma as the Bride, and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, with Benjamin Byron Davis voicing Rupert Thorne and several guest roles.
