As you probably know, the Resident Evil Requiem game is going to be the next mainline game in the popular survival horror franchise and after a long wait, the excitement is there and it is very palpable.

The game is currently scheduled to be released on February 27, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S.

At this moment, we don’t know a lot about the game, but we do know some basic details and we have some visuals, as well as often-arriving leaks, such as the ones we have for you here, which highlight interesting gameplay moments.

The new game will follow FBI technical analyst Grace Ashcroft as she is sent to investigate a series of strange deaths at the hotel in Raccoon City where her mother died 8 years prior. The story will be set after the events of Resident Evil 3, so Racoon City will be bombed.

As said, there are still a lot of enigmas about the game, but it seems that some of the players’ prayers have been answered, according to the leaks we are about to share with you here:

The leaks confirm the existence of a 30-minute demo, which revealed some interesting moments about the gameplay. Namely, the game will apparently start in first-person mode before later transitioning to third-person mode, but it seems that players will get to choose between these two modes in the game.

The leak also confirms the existence of a second playable character; the developers have already teased this, along with a large arsenal of weapons for that character, and the leaks confirm this. Based on the source, there are a lot of signs pointing to the character in question being Leon Kennedy, but we cannot confirm that as of yet.

Also, the leaks confirm one plot moment from the story related to Grace Ashcroft, who is the game’s primary protagonist. While exploring some eerie corridors, she is attacked by a monster and uses a syringe to heal herself, instead of the usual healing items.

As you can see, there will be a lot of new moments in the game and this is bound to raise the hype even more!
