New Set Photos of ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Disprove Planned Major Recasting

‘Daredevil: Born Again’ has been a hot topic among MCU fans lately, thanks to both their excitement and the rocky road of its production. From issues like the SAG-AFTRA strike to clashes in vision between the showrunners and the studio, it’s been quite the journey.

However, it’s been revealed that the new version of the series will closely follow the original Netflix show, with many familiar faces returning. Charlie Cox is set to reprise his role as Daredevil, Vincent D’Onofrio returns as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, and Jon Bernthal will once again portray Frank Castle, aka the Punisher. Other returning actors include Margarita Levieva as Heather Glenn, Michael Gandolfini as Daniel Blade, Genneya Walton as BB Urich, Clark Johnson as Cherry, Arty Froushan as Buck Cashman, and Zabryna Guevara as Sheila Rivera. Deborah Ann Woll is also back as Karen Page, alongside Elden Henson reprising his role as Franklin “Foggy” Nelson.

Before production even began, it was clear that most of the major actors from Netflix’s show would return to their roles. However, there was an announcement that Wilson Fisk’s wife, Vanessa Marianna-Fisk, would be recast, with Sandrine Holt taking on the role.

Now, new set photos have emerged, revealing that Ayelet Zurer will actually be returning to reprise her original role. Interestingly, Sandrine Holt has deleted her previous social media posts announcing her casting in the role.

We’re happy to see Zurer returning to her previous role. Her chemistry with D’Onofrio was excellent. If you’re concerned that the studio might change its mind, you can relax. Part 1 of filming wrapped up last week, and filming for part 2 is set to start towards the end of 2024.
