Call of Duty fans, rejoice! The legendary FPS video game series is back with another game – Vanguard, which will be placed in World War 2 period.
Sledgehammer Games, which developed Call of Duty titles Modern Warfare 3 (co-developed with Infinity Ward), Advanced Warfare, and WW2, developed Vanguard. The game will have three main game modes; campaign, multiplayer, and zombies, just like most of the previous CoD games. That could put it one step ahead of its competitor Battlefield 2042, which won’t have a campaign mode.
Vanguard’s campaign will take place on four different World War 2 frontlines; Western and Eastern fronts in Europe, North African frontline, and the Pacific. Games’ writer Sam Maggs has revealed that Vanguard could be the start of another CoD trilogy, already teasing us with Vanguard 2 and Vanguard 3.
Developed by Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision, Call of Duty: Vanguard will be released on November 5 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
