PBS Distribution is bringing a diverse lineup of documentaries to Mip London, taking place from February 23 to 27. The selection includes stories about a notorious Nazi art thief, the mystery of UFOs, and the untold contributions of women during World War II.

More titles will be revealed leading up to the event, including those set to be showcased at the London TV Screenings, which runs from February 23 to 28.

One of the standout titles is Plunderer: The Life and Times of a Nazi Art Thief, a two-part series exploring the story of Bruno Lohse, a key figure in the Nazi looting operation. Historian Jonathan Petropoulos interviews Lohse himself, along with curators, art investigators, and descendants of families whose priceless artworks were stolen.

The documentary also includes never-before-seen personal letters and famous masterpieces, shedding light on the hidden side of the global art trade.

Another intriguing documentary, What Are UFOs?, takes a serious look at the long-debated topic of unidentified flying objects. Once dismissed as conspiracy theories, UFOs are now being investigated by scientists and government agencies.

This one-hour special examines possible explanations, from weather balloons and optical illusions to top-secret military technology—or even something more mysterious.

Meanwhile, Women of World War II: The Untold Stories highlights the vital but often overlooked roles women played during the war. The documentary features firsthand accounts from codebreakers, aircraft builders, and the legendary “Fly Girls” who risked their lives to support military pilots. With exclusive interviews and rarely seen footage, this film honors the contributions of these unsung heroes.

Joe Barrett, VP of global sales at PBS Distribution, emphasized the significance of these upcoming events. “The London events are invaluable platforms for connecting with our partners, fostering new relationships, and sharing stories that inform, inspire, and entertain,” he said.
