Preview Released for ‘Detective Comics’ #1096, Batman’s Latest Case it Too Personal

DC Comics has just released a preview of Detective Comics #1096, and fans of Batman have something big to look forward to when it hits shelves on April 16th.
This new issue is written by Tom Taylor, with art and cover by Mikel Janín. The two have been working together on a strong run, and this latest chapter dives deep into Bruce Wayne’s personal life — maybe a little too deep.
The story, titled “Too Close to Home,” puts Batman in a tough spot. It seems like someone close to him might not be who they say they are. As his latest case gets more personal, Bruce begins to fear that he may have unknowingly let an enemy get very close to him. The line between friend and foe starts to blur, and Batman is forced to question everything.
This is a key issue in Tom Taylor and Mikel Janín’s current storyline. The writing and art continue to impress readers, and Detective Comics #1096 looks like it will be another exciting and emotional ride.
TOO CLOSE TO HOME! Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Batman has never particularly abided by that adage — at least, he didn’t think he did. But now, as his latest case veers closer and closer into deeply personal territory for Bruce Wayne, he fears that he may have been unwittingly keeping an enemy very, very close.
Tom Taylor and Mikel Janín’s smash-hit run continues in this can’t-miss issue!
Make sure to check it out when it arrives on April 16th!
