Prime Video Drops First Trailer for Upcoming Young Adult Movie and TV Slate
Prime Video is launching a new push aimed at young adult viewers, combining a content slate with a large in-person fan event designed to highlight its upcoming shows and films.
According to Amazon MGM Studios, the company is introducing an initiative called “Obsession Is In Session.” The goal is to strengthen its focus on YA audiences and position Prime Video as a key destination for this type of storytelling.
A major part of this rollout is a new fan event called Obsessed Fest. It will take place on June 27 in Los Angeles at nya Studios and is being presented as a one-day experience built around upcoming YA titles from the platform.
The event will showcase several new projects, including “Every Year After,” “The Love Hypothesis,” “Elle,” “Off Campus,” “Overcompensating,” “Your Fault: London,” and “Drawn Together,” among others. Fans attending the event will be able to see early footage, meet cast members and creators, and take part in interactive experiences connected to the stories.

The setup for the event includes multiple themed areas. There will be live sessions featuring talent from the projects, spaces focused on books and author discussions, and interactive zones where fans can step into recreated scenes from different titles. The event will also include screenings, merchandise, food inspired by the shows, and shared fan spaces for attendees.
Sue Kroll, head of marketing at Amazon MGM Studios, explained the idea behind the event in a statement shared with The Hollywood Reporter. She said, “Audiences today don’t just consume stories-they inhabit them, build communities around them, and carry them far beyond the screen. Obsessed Fest is our invitation to bring that energy into the real world-a space where fandom, storytelling, and genuine connection converge in a way that feels immediate, immersive, and unforgettable.”
Before the event takes place, Prime Video has also released a teaser trailer showing early looks at several upcoming YA series and films. These include “Off Campus,” “Elle,” “Sterling Point,” “The Last Sunrise,” “The Love Hypothesis,” “The Devil’s Mouth,” “Maxton Hall” season 3, “Perfectos Mentirosos,” “Clashing Through the Snow,” and others.
The company also confirmed that Obsessed Fest ties into its Prime Book Club program, which focuses on adapting books into screen projects. This event will serve as the first live extension of that initiative, bringing authors, creators, and actors together with fans in person.
Prime Video is clearly trying to build stronger fan engagement by turning its shows into full experiences, not just streaming content. This can work well if the upcoming titles connect with audiences in a real way. But it also puts pressure on the shows to deliver, since hype alone is not enough.
