PUBG Update 35.1 Brings Big Changes – New Gear, Better Combat, and Map Updates
KRAFTON has launched Update 35.1 for PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS on PC. Console players will get it on April 17. This update brings a lot of improvements that make the game feel smoother, more fair, and more fun—whether you’re a pro or just coming back after a break.
This update is a big step toward making PUBG feel the same across all game modes—Normal, Ranked, and Esports. The goal is to keep each map unique but make the rules and gameplay more consistent.
- Zipline Gun, Emergency Cover Flare, Stun Gun, and Self-AED (solo only) are now on all maps.
- Blue Chip Transmitter, 4x Thermal Scope, and Spike Trap have been removed from all maps.
This helps players learn the game faster and keeps the loot more balanced.
Now, the Recall System is available on every map. This means if a teammate goes down, they can come back and keep playing. Even on smaller maps like Karakin and Paramo, the system works with balanced settings. It’s a great way to keep matches exciting and give teams a second chance.
One of the biggest changes is the new Aim Punch system. This system was tested with players and is now live in the full game.

This change makes fights feel more fair and rewards better aim.
Update 35.1 also adds Contender, a new character upgrade system. You can now collect and upgrade full outfit sets in the Workshop. These outfits look cool and can be upgraded over time.
To upgrade, you’ll need:
- Contender Prime Parcels (from Archivist’s Chests)
- Or Artisan Tokens (used in Special Crafting)
This gives players a new way to show off their progress and style.
