The rest of this article is going to bring you all the known and unknown information related to the potential third season of Real Girl. You’re going to find out about its potential release date, whether there is a trailer, what the story could be about, and much more about this interesting anime series.
Real Girl Season 3 release date: Will there be a Season 3 of Real Girl?
An anime television series adaptation titled 3D Kanojo: Real Girl was announced in November 2017. The series is directed by Takashi Naoya and written by Deko Akao, with animation by Hoods Entertainment and character designs by Satomi Kurita. It premiered from April 4, 2018 on NTV’s AnichU programming block. The series had 12 episodes. A second season, which aired from January 8, 2019 to March 26, 2019, also had 12 episodes.
The opening theme titled “Daiji na Koto” by Quruli and the ending theme titled “HiDE the BLUE” by BiSH. The opening theme of the second season is “Futari nara” by BiSH and the ending theme of the season is “Hagan” by Fujifabric.
Real Girl‘s two season adapted the whole manga. The manga ran from July 23, 2011 to May 24, 2016 and was collected in a total of 12 volumes, all of which have been adapted in the anime series. This is why a third season of Real Girl is practically impossible, since there is no material to adapt. A third season could be possible only if the author decides to continue the manga, which is not likely, or to write an original story, which doesn’t seem likely either.
Real Girl Season 3 trailer
There is no trailer for a third season of Real Girl and, seeing how there probably won’t be a third season anyhow, we’re not going to see a trailer at all. Since there is nothing to announce, a trailer is completely unnecessary.
Real Girl Season 3 cast
We assume that the protagonists would return for a third season, if there ever were one. There are a lot of characters that could make a return in a possible continuation of Real Girl and they would probably return once more, along with a plethora of new characters. But, seeing how the world of Real World won’t be getting any additional stories, there is nothing to discuss here, really. The two main characters of the series, who would definitely make a return, are:
- Hikaru Tsutsui is a tall boy with long hair who is fond of manga and anime video games and for this reason he is continually shunned by his classmates for being an otaku. His only friend is Yuto, and he has been bullied and isolated. For these reasons he has lost self-esteem and also believes that he will never fall in love but will eventually fall in love with the most beautiful girl in the Iroha Igarashi school. Although at first the two do not seem to get along, they will have a long love affair that will suffer a sudden arrest due to the girl’s illness. This will cause Hikaru to fall into depression, but spurred on by his friends and relatives, he manages to keep going, entering college and finding work at a company. Seven years later, King will meet Iroha, who has returned to learn more about her past. Thanks also to the memories that resurface, the relationship between the two will restart, and will definitely crown with a beautiful wedding. In an extra chapter, it is revealed that her firm intends to move him to San Francisco, but will refuse when Iroha reveals that she is pregnant with her, preferring to stay in Japan with her and her friends beside her.
- Iroha Igarashi is a beautiful girl of medium height with light pink wavy hair and light or dark brown eyes. She however she has a very bad reputation because she is rumored to have been engaged to most of the boys in the school but she never really fell in love with anyone except Hikaru Tsutsui. She begins to like Hikaru after meeting him and then asks him to be her boyfriend at the beginning of her and she is rejected but then he changed his mind about her and he himself asked him to go out with her. Over time she will fall in love like she does with none of Hikaru, but their relationship can only last six months. At first it is believed that she should go abroad with her, in reality she has a brain problem that needs an operation, which will take away many memories. Her story with Hikaru will be intense, but after the operation she will not remember anything, until seven years later, when she meets the young man again. Gradually, dating him again, her memories will re-emerge, including her love for him and she will marry him at the end of the series. In an extra chapter she is revealed to be pregnant with Hikaru, but she didn’t tell him right away due to her illness.
Real Girl Season 3 plot
The plot of a potential third season of Real Girl is unknown since it would have to adapt a new story written by the author, and there is no such story. The twoseasons adapted the manga and finished with it, meaning that there are no more manga stories to adapt. Still, what we are going to bring you is a brief overview of the series’ plot, so that you know what you can expect.
Hikaru Tsutsui is a high school student, often shunned and mocked by his peers for his otaku nature. One day, after arriving late for school, he is forced to clean the pool together with Iroha Higurashi, a beautiful girl but with a very bad reputation. Later she Iroha asks him to go out together and Hikaru accepts, but the two can only be together for six months, at the end of which the girl will have to change schools due to the work of her father.
