Steve Orlando, an award-winning comic writer known for his work on ‘Midnighter’ and ‘Martian Manhunter’ at DC Comics, as well as ‘Marauders’ at Marvel is stepping into horrific waters with the newly released ‘Ripperland,’ alongside John Harris Dunning.

‘Ripperland #1’ takes readers to the year 2188, where the famous killer Jack the Ripper has mysteriously returned to the streets of London. But this isn’t the London we know – it’s a city caught in a strange mix of past and future.

For the last 100 years, post-Brexit England has been transformed into a massive Victorian theme park. It’s a place where people live in the past, while relying on American military and financial support to keep things running.

However, the peace in this strange version of London is about to be shattered. The murder of an American mogul’s grandson in the heart of the city raises dangerous questions. Was the killer a brilliant maniac?

Is this an attack from Americans using advanced technology? Or is it the work of the English Underground Resistance, fighting back against American control and hoping to reconnect with the modern world?

To find the truth, two very different men are forced to work together. American Special Agent Jesse Holden and British Detective Edwin Fogg are tasked with solving the crime. But their differing beliefs and approaches to justice make it a challenge. They’ll need to put aside their differences to navigate the foggy streets of London and uncover the mystery.

The comic series promises a mix of crime, mystery, and science fiction, with a chilling touch of horror. ‘Ripperland’ is a four-issue series that blends an old story with a futuristic setting, making for an exciting and unpredictable adventure.

The artistic team includes Alessandro Oliveri, Francesca Vivaldi, and Fabio Amelia. Have something to add? Let us know in the comments below!
