Rumors: More Details Emerge About ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Villain – Cassandra Nova

Before the teaser trailer for ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ came out, there were rumors that Emma Corrin would play the movie’s villain, Cassandra Nova. These rumors were confirmed by the US Copyright Listing and later by IMDb. Cassandra Nova is a character from the comics and ‘Deadpool 3’ will be her debut in the MCU.
Her backstory is pretty grim and sad. Cassandra was Xavier’s twin when they were both in the womb. Xavier realized that Cassandra was the so-called “Mummudrai” by the Shi’ar, an opposite spirit of Professor Charles Xavier. Because of Xavier’s genetic potential, Cassandra could manifest physically, essentially becoming his twin. But when they were in their mother’s womb, Charles sensed that Cassandra was evil and tried to kill her with his emerging psychic powers. This caused a miscarriage for Sharon, but Cassandra survived and spent decades in a sewer wall, making a new body and planning revenge against her brother.
Being essentially a clone of Xavier, Cassandra gained access to all his powers and potential powers. Besides Xavier’s telepathy, Cassandra also has telekinetic abilities. With her telekinesis, she can levitate and control living beings and objects. She can create strong telekinetic shields and unleash powerful blasts of telekinetic energy.
Cryptic HD QUALITY, a well-known leaker with a good track record, has shared details about Cassandra’s role in the upcoming movie. According to them, the only thing that can block Nova’s telepathy is Magneto’s helmet, but she has already taken possession of it.
Cryptic also mentioned that Nova’s portrayal in the movie will closely resemble her depiction in the comics, which should make fans of the source material happy.
We’re excited to see Cassandra Nova in the MCU. Hopefully, this also suggests that Professor X might show up, given their important link in the comics. What’s your take? Share your thoughts in the comments!
