Rumors Reveal Why the MCU Will Concentrate on Street-Level Stories in Upcoming Projects

Phase 4 marked the start of the Multiversal Saga, aiming to highlight the significant threat posed by Kang the Conqueror and impart lessons to the Avengers about the risks of meddling with time and universes. ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ delved into this theme within the Quantum realm, which gained further importance in ‘Loki’ Season 2.

However, with ‘Ant-Man’ failing to meet expectations and Jonathan Majors facing backlash due to the assault verdict, speculation suggests that the MCU will pivot towards a different villain and more grounded narratives.

According to Alex Perez, a well-known scooper and leaker, Marvel is still figuring out how to handle the Multiverse. We can anticipate more street-level stories, except for ‘Deadpool & Wolverine,’ as disclosed during the Discord Q&A session.

Right now, Marvel is reassessing how to handle the Multiverse, which is why they’re focusing on street-level stories for the time being, with the sole exception of Deadpool & Wolverine. It is still my impression that Marvel still wants to use Kang and his variants to face off against the Avengers, but there is one antagonistic presence that Marvel is building up to, which will impact the Kang Dynasty by the time they arrive.

This supports our recent report that Kang remains the main villain in the MCU, but they’re exploring ways to introduce a new threat, possibly a more serious one.

Street-level projects have already begun with ‘Echo,’ which incorporates Netflix’s Defenders Saga into the MCU. Additionally, ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ is set for release soon, which will bring even more street-level superheroes and villains into the MCU. According to the latest reports, ‘Spider-Man 4’ will also be a street-level story according to recent rumors. What are your thoughts on this? Share them in the comments below!
