Ryan Reynolds Teases Thrilling New ‘Deadpool’ Project: Could an MCU Special Presentation Be Coming?

Deadpool & Wolverine, the latest MCU movie, is set to release this summer. The film has already been a major success, breaking multiple box office records and earning over a billion dollars. Based on these figures, the future looks promising for both Deadpool and Wolverine in the MCU, and Ryan Reynolds may have recently hinted at a glimpse of that future.
Reynolds teased a potential new project by sharing a photo of what seems to be a Christmas-themed set. In the image, he is seen partially dressed in his Deadpool costume while embracing Leslie Uggams, who is well-known for her role as Blind Al in several projects.
Given the set design, fans quickly speculated that a new Special Presentation might be on the horizon. Kevin Feige hinted at this possibility several months ago, stating that more specials are in the works and that “fans just have to wait.”
This comes as no surprise following the successes of Werewolf by Night and the Guardians of the Galaxy Christmas Special.
However, we can’t dismiss the idea of a commercial or even a PG-13 cut of Deadpool & Wolverine. The PG-13 version of Deadpool 2 was a major success, so it’s likely the studio might consider a similar approach again.
If an MCU project is indeed in development, that would be great news. While Wolverine is heavily rumored to appear in Secret Wars, details about Deadpool’s next project remain unclear, although some reports suggest that a sequel to Deadpool & Wolverine is already in the works.
