Scarlet Witch Statue in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Fuels Theory: Her Return as Doom’s Ally Could Shake the Multiverse!

Deadpool & Wolverine was a huge hit with fans, mostly because of all the fan service and hidden references. One of the most interesting easter eggs is the Scarlet Witch statue seen in the cave where the “Resistance” is hiding.
The statue looks exactly like the one from Darkhold Castle. As you probably know, at the end of Multiverse of Madness, Wanda realizes her mistakes and sacrifices herself by collapsing the Temple on top of her, destroying all copies of the Darkhold.
But what if Wanda didn’t die? What if she was sent to the Void, where Deadpool & Wolverine takes place?
When Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania came out, it was revealed that Wanda, along with Kang, is a Nexus Being. Because of this, instead of dying, she might have been automatically pruned.
So, what’s Doctor Doom’s role in all this? When RDJ announced he was returning to the MCU, not as Iron Man but as Doctor Doom, theories started popping up that he could be a variant of Doom.
It’s possible that Doom was pruned at some point and ended up in the Void. Maybe he and Scarlet Witch eventually teamed up to find a way out of the Void.
This theory is backed by rumors suggesting that Wanda will return to the MCU and play a major role in the upcoming Doomsday storyline. She might even work with Doctor Doom and become his romantic interest. If the MCU adapts the Time Runs Out and The Children’s Crusade storylines, there’s a good chance Wanda and Doom could team up.
In The Children’s Crusade, Wanda’s son Wiccan and the Young Avengers search for her after the events of House of M, where she had erased most of the mutant population.
During this storyline, Doctor Doom helps Wanda regain her memories and powers, and there’s a hint that Doom might have a manipulative interest in her. The MCU could adapt this by having Doom find Wanda in the Void, confused and suffering from memory loss.
At one point, it’s revealed that Wanda and Doctor Doom were working together, with Doom claiming to have romantic feelings for her. However, it turns out that Doom’s interest was more about his own ambitions and thirst for power than any real romantic connection.
They briefly team up, with Doom using Wanda’s powers to try to control vast magical energy. This, however, leads to disastrous consequences as Doom’s hunger for power creates even more chaos.
There’s also the possibility that Doom might use the Void to create his “Battleworld” during Secret Wars. Right now, the MCU is missing one key element for this to happen—the Beyonder.
It’s an intriguing theory, especially with the recent rumors. Keep in mind, the future of the MCU seems to be pointing toward Wanda’s return. A show focused on White Vision is about to begin production, a series about Wonder Man is set for 2025, and her son Wiccan is currently searching for his twin brother, Tommy.
