Scarlett Johansson Blames a Ninja Turtle For Her Failed Love Stories
I bet this wasn’t the title you expected to read today. Scarlett Johansson recently shared that her childhood crush on a Ninja Turtle became so intense it affected her love life for a long time, before she finally found happiness with her husband, Colin Jost.
In a recent interview with MTV UK, Scarlett Johansson was asked about her favorite animated character. She explained that when she was young, the Ninja Turtles were very popular, and she developed a crush on Raphael, the tough and moody member of the group. However, her crush didn’t help her and she often found herself falling for the wrong guys.
I liked that he was problematic and it actually informed all of my dating choices, later on in life. I always went with the jerk. Why? Because of Raphael… It messed me up.
Raphael is a red-masked turtle in the ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ group. He is known for being tough, hot-headed, and often angry. Despite his rough exterior, he cares deeply about his family and friends. Apparently, these were all the qualities that young Johansson couldn’t resist.
Although Raphael, caused some trouble for Scarlett Johansson’s early dating life, he eventually helped her find her husband, Colin Jost. Johansson now calls Jost “Michelangelo.” Michelangelo is the orange-masked turtle. He is fun-loving, laid-back, and always ready to crack jokes. Michelangelo is the most playful of the group and loves pizza!
The couple has been married for over five years and has one child together.
