Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is an American media franchise created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird based on the original work Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles released in 1984. The franchise follows extraordinary anthropomorphic turtles trained in ninjutsu by their rat sensei Splinter.
