Paris Fashion Week has always been about more than the runway. With the Spring/Summer 2027 womenswear shows running from September 28 to October 6, the parties surrounding them have drawn just as many famous faces, and Emmy Rossum is the latest star to turn heads in the French capital.

Few hosts in fashion command a guest list quite like Edward Enninful. The former editor-in-chief of British Vogue began his career as fashion director of i-D at just 18, the youngest person ever to hold that role at a major international fashion title, and he now runs EE72, a media and entertainment company that launched with a 4-city world tour of parties ending last year in Paris at Le Grand Café.

This year’s Paris gathering produced a standout moment of its own. Photos shared on X on October 3 show Rossum arriving at Enninful’s Fashion Week party on October 2 in a sleek all-black outfit, walking past a crowd of onlookers at night.

The look is simple on paper but full of contrasts. Rossum wore a fitted short-sleeved black top with a sheer mesh V-neck panel, tucked into a black leather mini skirt with a subtle logo at the waist.

She finished the outfit with black knee-high boots, a simple watch, and dark sunglasses, letting her voluminous dark curls fall loose. The mix of soft jersey, glossy leather and the transparent inset keeps the monochrome palette from ever feeling flat.

No designer was credited in the posts, so the outfit very much speaks for itself. It’s a restrained, evening-ready take on Fashion Week dressing that would work just as well at a dinner as at a party.

The Paris look continues a clear streak in Rossum’s recent wardrobe. At the 2026 Emmy Awards, she presented Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series alongside Alan Cumming, wearing a black Julie de Libran couture gown with lace and a tiered skirt, although Tom + Lorenzo found that particular dress overdesigned.

Just weeks before heading to Paris, she also chose black for the YSL Beauty Block Party: NYC Edition. There, she wore a fitted sleeveless Saint Laurent mini dress with sheer tights and pointed pumps, while Vernon François styled her curls into the look’s standout feature.

Her style evolution has been noticed. W Magazine has pointed out that Rossum has graduated from pastel-hued ingenue to fashion risk-taker, embracing structured shapes, sheer fabrics and bold colors, and a leather mini with a mesh panel fits right into that shift.

Rossum has plenty to celebrate beyond fashion. Her Hulu crime drama ‘Furious’, created by Elizabeth Meriwether and loosely inspired by the 1987 film ‘Black Widow’, premiered on July 27 with Rossum starring as FBI agent Alice Black.

The series follows Alice as she hunts a calculating female serial killer played by Lola Petticrew, with Quincy Tyler Bernstine and Scoot McNairy co-starring. Rossum also executive produces through her Composition 8 banner.

The show quickly found its audience. Hulu renewed ‘Furious’ for a second season in August, days before the 8-episode first season wrapped on August 31, and Deadline noted the series carried a 98% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Rossum personally shared the renewal news with fans in a video on Hulu’s social media, thanking viewers for their support. With season 2 on the way and her fashion profile rising, the actress and producer seems to be enjoying a genuine career high. With Fashion Week running through October 6, there could be even more standout looks from Rossum before she leaves Paris.
