Shiro Games Announces ‘Farever,’ a Colorful Online Co-Op RPG Coming to Steam in 2025

Shiro Games, the team behind Wartales, Dune: Spice Wars, and Northgard, just announced their next big game. It’s called Farever, and it’s an online co-op action RPG coming to PC through Steam.
The game was officially revealed during the PC Gaming Show, and the studio plans to release a beta sometime later this year.
Farever takes place in a colorful fantasy world called Siagarta. The world is full of wild areas, different factions, hidden dungeons, and plenty of surprises. Players can explore this world alone or team up with friends in online co-op.
There’s a strong focus on working together, but it’s also possible to go solo if that’s your style.
At launch, Farever will have 10 character classes. Four of them will be available during the early access phase, and the rest will be added later. The classes are built around different playstyles, including tanking, healing, and damage roles. What makes the game stand out is its weapons.
Each weapon comes with its own set of skills, and there are over 100 of them planned for the full release. Players can mix and match to build unique characters that fit how they like to play.
There’s also more than just fighting. Players can take on crafting and gathering jobs, like becoming a blacksmith or a cook. These jobs aren’t just side activities—they actually help your team by giving you access to rare gear and useful items. Exploring the world also means dealing with platforming sections, puzzles, and large-scale enemy invasions called Rift Invasions.
According to Shiro Games CEO Nicolas Cannasse, the goal is to keep things exciting and fun. He said, “In Farever, adventure is always around the corner. We’re thrilled to reveal the game during the PC Gaming Show and can’t wait to invite players to Siagarta for co-op exploration when Farever comes to Steam.”
The game doesn’t have an exact release date yet, but the beta is expected to drop in 2025. You can already wishlist Farever on Steam if you want to keep an eye on updates. All this info comes directly from Shiro Games and their announcement during the PC Gaming Show.
