Star Wars: The Skeleton Crew is the newest Star Wars series, with episodes releasing weekly on Disney+ until January 14. Set nine years after the fall of the Galactic Empire, the story follows four kids from the planet At Attin who get lost in the galaxy after making a big discovery. They team up with a Force-user and embark on an adventure to find their way home.

Jude Law plays Jod Na Nawood, a charming Force-user who guides the kids on their journey. The group includes Wim, a human boy; Fern, a human girl; KB, Fern’s friend with a cybernetic visor; Neel, an alien boy who looks like an elephant; and SM-33, an old, quirky droid.

The show has been praised by critics as one of the most delightful Star Wars stories in recent years.

It’s no surprise that the Skeleton Crew characters are expected to return. According to industry insider Daniel Richtman, they’re rumored to appear in Dave Filoni’s upcoming Star Wars crossover movie.

This crossover movie isn’t the same as The Mandalorian & Grogu, set to release on May 22, 2026. Filoni will direct the Untitled New Republic film, produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Jon Favreau, which is meant to tie up all the Mandalorian and Ahsoka storylines in a big crossover event.

Details about the movie are still scarce as it’s currently in development. Have thoughts to share? Let us know in the comments!
