‘Squid Game’ Star Park Sung-hoon Exits K-Drama Amid NSFW Social Media Scandal

‘Squid Game’ Season 2 recently premiered on Netflix, and while some stars are boosting their careers, others are facing strange incidents. Park Sung Hoon, who plays Player 120, caused a stir after accidentally posting an adult video cover with nudity and a ‘Squid Game’ theme on his social media.
At first, people thought his account was hacked, but it was later confirmed to be a mistake. His agency, BH Entertainment, explained that Park had been overwhelmed with messages and accidentally uploaded inappropriate images. Park apologized and promised to be more careful in the future. But the controversy is far from over.
The incident sparked a lot of backlash from fans, who called for him to be replaced in an upcoming K-drama – ‘The Tyrant’s Chef,’ where he was set to star alongside YoonA.
Now the latest news is Park Sung-hoon indeed exited production. OSEN reports that the decision for Park Sung-hoon to exit ‘The Tyrant’s Chef’ was made mutually by both the production team and his agency after thorough discussions.
The upcoming K-Drama tells the story of a chef who mysteriously time-slips to the past and meets the king, known as the worst tyrant but also a great gourmet. The drama is adapted from the web novel ‘Surviving as Yeonsan-gun’s Chef’ by Park Kook Jae.
The series, directed by Jang Tae Yoo, blends comedy, romance, and fantasy, with themes of time travel, a tyrant male lead, and a chef’s journey.
