Star Wars: Adam Driver Isn’t Against Returning As Kylo Ren
Career of 38-year old actor Adam Driver drastically soared in the last few years. He was nominated for Academy Award in 2019 for BlacKkKlansman and in 2020 for Marriage Story, and his newest film is Ridley Scott’s House of Gucci.
Although he was nominated for three consecutive Primetime Emmy Awards for the role of Adam Sackler in HBO’s series Girls in 2013, 2014, and 2015, he gained wider recognition for the role of Ben Solo/Kylo Ren in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. He reprised the role in Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, which concluded the story of Kylo Ren, and the story of the Skywalker saga in general. But, does that mean that Driver is done with the role for good? Not necessarily, if you ask him.
“No, I’m totally not against it. For me, it’s a filmmaker’s medium, so my only thing is working with great filmmakers. Whatever the size … it’s never been interesting to me, to an extent. There’s interesting things about working on both. I always just follow people I’d be interested in working with, and whether I’d be right for the part — things like that. No, definitely not averse.”

Lucasfilm’s Kathleen Kennedy recently teased that characters from the sequel trilogy might return in the future, although she didn’t specify which characters and in which movies, or tv shows. The latest Star Wars movie The Rise of Skywalker was released in 2019 and it grossed $1 billion, which seems like a success, but thanks to mixed reviews, it was the lowest-grossing movie of the Star Wars sequel trilogy.
