Star Wars: Producer Teases That Characters From The Sequel Trilogy Might Return
When Disney bought Lucasfilm, and all their franchises (like Star Wars and Indiana Jones) in a bundle, that started a new era of Star Wars. In December 2015, Star Wars: The Force Awakens was released, and that marked the beginning of the new, so-called sequel Star Wars trilogy.
The sequel trilogy introduced many new characters in the franchise; Daisy Ridley’s Rey, Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren, John Boyega’s Finn, and Oscar Isaac’s Poe were the main characters that have led us through the trilogy that concluded in 2019 with Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker.
Now, although it’s considered that Rise of Skywalker concluded the Skywalker saga, there’s a chance that we could see some of the characters we said goodbye to two years ago, at least according to Kathleen Kennedy, and who can we trust if not the president of Lucasfilm.
“Certainly, those are not characters we’re going to forget. They will live on, and those are conversations that are going on with the creative team as well.”

Star Wars sequel trilogy, consisting of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker grossed over $4.4 billion worldwide and it was the final act of the Skywalker saga that started back in 1977 with A New Hope, or The Phantom Menace if we look at it chronologically.
