Star Wars: It’s Known When The Mandalorian Comic Book Will Start Publishing

While Marvel comic books have inspired a lot of Marvel movies, with Star Wars, it was the other way around. Ever since George Lucas’ original Star Wars movie was released in 1977, the Star Wars became a cultural and global phenomenon, with comic books, novels, video games, tv shows, toys, and other media and merchandise that fans can have on their shelves.
The Mandalorian is one of the newest Star Wars characters that quickly became a fan-favorite character ever since he debuted in this own Disney+ series in November 2019, with Pedro Pascal playing the titular role.
After the Star Wars franchise concluded the Skywalker saga, Disney has put focus on building the future of Star Wars through the series of spin-off shows on Disney+. The Mandalorian was the first live-action tv series set in the Star Wars universe, and after two seasons, it was followed by The Book of Boba Fett, and several other spin-off shows are also in development. The Mandalorian is also set to return for its third season later this year.
But before we see Mando again, Marvel Comics and Star Wars have prepared us the first-ever comic book centered on The Mandalorian. The official Star Wars website announced that Marvel Comics will start publishing the eight-issue mini-series The Mandalorian in June. You can check the official cover of the first issue down below:
“I’ve always thought an artist’s style is a lot like writing in short hand. It’s very subjective. What I bring to Star Wars is my detail and love for a galaxy far, far away. Star Wars, especially where bounty hunters are concerned, is a messy landscape. I love drawing all the little details. My look has always be detail oriented, and with The Mandalorian there is so much going on with the character and in the background, and I look forward to adding visually to the already rich tapestry that makes up this universe!” — artist Georges Jeanty
The Mandalorian comic book mini-series will start publishing next June.
