Marvel Comics is releasing a new miniseries, Star Wars: The Battle of Jakku – Republic Under Siege, this Wednesday. The series explores the final days of the Galactic Civil War.
The first issue will be released on November 20, 2024. It was written by Alex Segura and illustrated by Stefano Raffaele, Jethro Morales, Jim Campbell, and Alex Sinclair.
The issue follows Luke Skywalker as he goes on a mission to find a Jedi relic, hoping it will hold important clues about the future of the Jedi Order. Along the way, Luke teams up with a new ally as they face off against Imperial forces.
Meanwhile, the whereabouts of Han Solo and Chewbacca remain unknown. The heroes are saved just in time by a surprise guest star, a fan-favorite ally.
The official summary of the issue states:
STILL REELING FROM THE EVENTS OF INSURGENCY RISES, LUKE MUST SEEK OUT A RELIC THAT COULD HOLD CLUES TO THE FUTURE OF THE JEDI ORDER! LUKE SKYWALKER and a new friend find themselves cornered!
