This is the proof, no one ever actually leaves Arrowverse. If you don’t remember, Jenna Dewan portrayed the character Lucy Lane in the first season of Supergirl, back when the show was airing on CBS.
Lucy Lane is a military officer, Lois Lane’s estranged sister, and Jimmy Olsen’s ex-girlfriend. In the first season of Supergirl, Dewan portrayed the character in a recurring role. But, after the show was moved to The CW, her character was simply forgotten, she never showed up again in Supergirl or in any other Arrowverse show.
But now, Lucy Lane will return in the upcoming second season of Superman & Lois, confirmed by TVLine. The season is set to premiere in early 2022. The show premiered last February and it received critical acclaim, many fans called it a fresh start for Arrowverse. The show is starring Tyler Hoechlin as Clark Kent/Superman, and Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane. It’s interesting that Tulloch’s Lois and Dewan’s Lucy never met before on-screen, so it’s gonna be interesting to see how will that interaction go.
The show also stars Jordan Elsass, Alex Garfin, Erik Valdez, Inde Navarrette, Wolé Parks, Adam Rayner, Emmanuelle Chriqui, and Dylan Walsh as Sam Lane, Lois and Lucy’s father who was portrayed by Glenn Morshower in the first season of Supergirl.
