Sometimes it’s a national security situation, sometimes it’s a family situation, and even for Superman, it’s hard to deal with both.
The CW revealed the official one-minute trailer for the upcoming second season of the superhero show Superman & Lois. The show premiered earlier this year and it received positive reviews. Many fans called it a fresh start for the Arrowverse.
Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch return as the DC’s most famous couple – Clark Kent and Lois Lane – now happily married and with two teenage sons – Jonathan and Jordan. The last season started with Jonathan and Jordan finding out that their father is the most powerful man on the planet. After Clark lost his job at Daily Planet, and Lois resigned shortly after, the family decided to move back to Smallville.
But, balancing the life of a superhero and a life of a father can be pretty tough, even for Superman. Season 1 revealed that Jordan inherited his father’s powers, but he’s having a hard time controlling them. At the same time, a mysterious visitor from another Earth, John Henry Irons, arrived with a dubious plan.
The first season finished with a happy ending, but it also teased what can we expect from the show in the second season. In the last scene of the season 1 finale, Natalie Lane Irons, daughter of Henry Irons and Lois Lane from another Earth, showed up after being presumed dead for years. The trailer didn’t show much, but it showed us enough to make us excited for the second season.
Superman & Lois Season 2 is starring Tyler Hoechlin as Clark Kent/Superman, Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane, Jordan Elsass as Jonathan Kent, Alex Garfin as Jordan Kent, Erik Valdez as Fire Chief Kyle Cushing, Inde Navarrette as Sarah Cushing, Wolé Parks as John Henry Irons, Adam Rayner as Tal-Rho/Morgan Edge, Dylan Walsh as Sam Lane, Emmanuelle Chriqui as Lana Lang Cushing, Sofia Hasmik as Chrissy Beppo, and Tayler Buck as Natalie Lane Irons. Jenna Dewan will return as Lucy Lane after she played the character in the first season of Supergirl.
Season 2 is set to premiere on January 11 on The CW.
