Funimation is an American entertainment company specialized in dubbing and distribution of East Asian media, primarily anime. The company was founded in 1994 by Gen Fukunaga and Cindy Brennan. As of 2022, Funimation has been rebranded as Crunchyroll LLC after buying out the famous anime-oriented streaming service.
