At the center of the latest moment were Edward Furlong and Robert Patrick, who played John Connor and the shapeshifting T-1000, respectively, reuniting in London while both attending the For the Love of Sci-Fi and Fantasy convention at Excel London. Patrick shared the reunion on social media with the caption “Found John Connor in London. Turns out the T-1000 just needed a plane ticket,” a callback fans immediately embraced.

The London meetup follows an earlier, even larger gathering in December, when Furlong, Patrick, Linda Hamilton, and Michael Biehn all appeared together at Steel City Con near Pittsburgh. That event brought together stars spanning both the original 1984 film and its 1991 sequel, giving fans a rare chance to see multiple generations of the franchise’s cast under one roof.

These convention reunions have become a genuine fixture of the ‘Terminator’ fandom rather than a one-off novelty. Furlong in particular has leaned into the convention circuit in recent years, building a steady, recurring connection to the role that first put him on the map as a thirteen-year-old newcomer discovered at a Boys & Girls Club in Pasadena before Cameron cast him as John Connor.

‘Terminator 2: Judgment Day’ remains widely regarded as the high point of the entire franchise, and the numbers back that reputation up. The film earned more than $520 million worldwide upon release and took home four Academy Awards, cementing its place as one of the defining action films of its era.

That combination of critical respect and enduring popularity is exactly what keeps pulling its cast back into the same rooms decades later, whether that’s a formal panel or a spontaneous selfie shared straight from an airport pickup. Fans have responded to each new reunion with the same enthusiasm, treating every fresh photo as a small piece of nostalgia worth celebrating on its own.
