Terminator

Terminator is an American media franchise created by James Cameron and Gale Anne Hurd based on the original movie titled The Terminator released in 1984. The Terminator is among the most popular sci-fi media franchises of all time that so far consists of numerous movies, television series, video games, comics, novels, and other various forms of media. The premise of the Terminator revolves around a post-apocalyptic scenario in which Skynet, a network of military-designated AI takes over the world and starts exterminating humans. The only resistance to Skynet is John Connor’s Resistance that struggles to change time and undo the damage that the machines have brought upon the humanity.
