Netflix‘s blockbuster The Adam Project is directed by Shawn Levy’s and it follows a time-traveling pilot (Ryan Reynolds) who teams up with his younger self and his late father to come to terms with his past while simultaneously saving the future. Netflix has previously released teaser trailer for the movie, but now they’ve also surprised us with the official four minute clip in which Adam meets Adam.

The clip starts with adult Adam going to the fridge and then closing it by kicking it with his leg, which is something younger Adam is notoriously known for. This sets chain of events in which younger Adam recognizes his similarities with older Adam and presses him with various questions about who he is. Older Adam kept telling younger one that everything is classified, but he eventually slips up. The clip ends with older Adam explaining his younger self that they are the same person.

Levy is famous for directing Stranger Things, but also for executive producing other successful movies like 2016’s film Arrival, or 2013’s Spectacular Now. The Project Adam is a combination of sci-fi, comedy, drama and adventure – a genre mix which seems to strive lately, but which also takes us back to the late 20th century adventure movies filled with these motives. With Levy’s talent, Ryan Reynold’s charismatic personality and the genre choice, the movie seems destined to succeed.

Besides Reynolds and Scobell, The Adam Project also stars Jennifer Garner, Mark Ruffalo, Zoe Saldana, and Catherine Keener and it releases exclusively on Netflix on March 11, 2022.
