‘The Faraway Paladin’ is a Japanese light novel series by Kanata Yanagino, illustrated by Kususaga Rin. The story centers on Will, a human child raised by three undead beings—Blood, a skeletal warrior; Mary, a mummified priestess; and Gus, a spectral sorcerer. Residing in a city of the dead, Will questions his identity and embarks on a journey to unravel the mysteries of the desolate land and the pasts of his undead guardians. As he learns about both the love of good gods and the bigotry of the bad, Will sets out on the path to becoming a paladin.
