The Marvels: First Photos From The Set Are Showing Ms. Marvel’s Upgraded Suit

The Marvels, previously titled Captain Marvel 2, is currently in production. Brie Larson is set to return as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel, and in the sequel, she’ll be accompanied by Teyonah Parris‘ Monica Rambeau we met earlier this year in WandaVision, and Iman Vellani who’s gonna make her debut as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel in the upcoming Disney+ series Ms. Marvel before she makes an appearance on the big screen in The Marvels.

Ms. Marvel already wrapped production and it’s set to debut on Disney+ next summer. Reports and behind-the-scenes images we got from the set of Ms. Marvel already showed us the original suit that the main character will wear in the show. And now, the first photos from the set of The Marvels are already showing that the suit will be significantly upgraded in the movie.

We can see in the first photo that Ms. Marvel will wear a different, more detailed suit, with more saturated colors. Other images are showing us the filming location, and the always present green screen which will be replaced with, no doubt, something visually stunning in post-production.

Ms. Marvel, real name Kamala Khan, is a teenager and a huge fan of Captain Marvel. She likes to write fan fiction about her, and soon she’ll become a superhero herself by gaining shape-shifting abilities. Ms. Marvel was also the main character in Marvel’s Avengers video game, in which she was voiced by Sandra Saad.

Directed by Nia DaCosta, The Marvels is promised to be a lot greater movie than its predecessor Captain Marvel (2019). Ms. Marvel will premiere on Disney+ next summer, and The Marvels is set to hit theaters in February 2023.

His favorite director is Christopher Nolan, with Quentin Tarantino and Denis Villeneuve as honorable mentions. Lukas is also a big fan of four fantasy multimedia franchises; The Wizarding World, A Song of Ice and Fire, The Witcher, and The Lord of the Rings. He calls them "the four rulers of the fantasy genre." He loves to write about anything spawned from those franchises (books, games, movies...), as well as anything branded with the Marvel or DC logo. Video games and their adaptations are also something he follows faithfully since he's a big fan of story-driven single-player games like Assassin's Creed, The Last of Us, Uncharted, etc. His favorite video game ever is Red Dead Redemption 2.
