The Official Poster Confirms It: The Hulk Is Coming for Spider-Man in ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’

Tom Holland’s fourth solo outing as the wall-crawler is shaping up to be the most ambitious yet, and a newly surfaced promotional poster has made one thing crystal clear. A new ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day‘ poster has been spotted at Meijer, a super center chain in the United States Midwest, and the artwork officially highlights the MCU hero’s upcoming battle with Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk. It is the kind of hard confirmation fans have been waiting on ever since whispers of a Spidey versus Jade Jaws showdown first began circulating online.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ is set for release on July 31, 2026. Cretton, best known for ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’, replaces Jon Watts, who helmed Holland’s previous Spider-Man trilogy. Filming reportedly began in London during summer 2025 and wrapped in December the same year, with Cretton confirming production had finished through an Instagram post praising Holland’s work ethic and leadership on set.

The poster in question is striking in its design and deliberate in its messaging. Both Hulk and Spider-Man are shown striking action poses as they appear to be engaged in a direct confrontation against each other, and all signs are pointing to Savage Hulk taking part in the action. The retail art also names the film’s four highlighted foes, with Boomerang, Scorpion, Tarantula, and the Hulk all displayed beneath a bold “VS” logo alongside the wallcrawler.

‘Brand New Day’ Rumor Hints New York Isn’t Rooting for Spider-Man Anymore

Savage Hulk’s role in the film is celebrated with a new purple logo featuring the MCU hero’s stylized fist at the center. While Hulk is usually positioned as a hero in the Marvel world, the Savage version of the original Avenger in ‘Brand New Day’ will likely wreak havoc in New York, positioning him as a threat that Spider-Man and Punisher need to contain. The Hulk is shown as green in the new artwork, suggesting Marvel Studios has changed its mind about finally introducing the Gray Hulk, after previously dropping the idea years ago. He may change colour at some point, though, and doing so could set up Bruce Banner’s role in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’.

The full official synopsis for the film reads that four years have passed since the events of ‘No Way Home’, and Peter is now an adult living entirely alone, having voluntarily erased himself from the lives and memories of those he loves. Crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, he’s devoted himself entirely to protecting his city, but as the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence.

The cast alongside Holland and Ruffalo includes Zendaya as Michelle “MJ” Jones-Watson, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle and the Punisher, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando as Mac Gargan and Scorpion, and Marvin Jones III as Lonnie Lincoln and Tombstone. Michael Mando is reprising his role as Scorpion from 2017’s ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’, marking the character’s long-awaited return to the MCU after an unresolved cliffhanger at the end of that film.

With the full villain roster now creeping into official promotional materials and the summer release fast approaching, excitement around ‘Brand New Day’ is only building. Whether the Hulk turns out to be a controlled weapon, a misdirected force of nature, or something far more complicated, the prospect of Holland’s Peter Parker going toe to toe with the green giant is genuinely thrilling.

Are you ready to see Spider-Man take on the Hulk, and which of the four foes on that poster has you most hyped for what is coming this summer?
