‘The Suicide Squad’ Star Daniela Melchior Keeps It Effortlessly Cool in White Tank, Denim Shorts and Cowboy Boots
Daniela Melchior has spent the past few years steadily building one of the more interesting Hollywood résumés of any Portuguese actress working today. Between big studio franchises and offbeat comedies, the 29-year-old has also kept her social media busy, giving fans regular glimpses of life away from the set.
Melchior, who has around 1 million followers on Instagram, has been especially active online lately. Just days ago, on October 5, she shared a home workout session that went viral thanks to an unexpected co-star, her dog, who stole the show.
Now the actress is drawing attention for something far more laid-back. A new photo shared by JumpTrailers on X shows Melchior going for a casual look, pairing a white tank top with denim shorts for a simple, relaxed outfit.
The snapshot sees Melchior standing on pale sand in front of striking, weathered rock formations. The minimalist backdrop lets the outfit do the talking. She finished the look with a pair of grey cowboy boots, dark sunglasses, and a small black shoulder bag carried in one hand.
Her long dark hair falls loose over her shoulders, keeping the whole vibe easygoing. It’s a classic combination of basics, but the boots give it a western edge that feels right at home in the dusty, sun-bleached setting.
Born in Almada, Melchior launched her career in 2014 with a role in the Portuguese telenovela ‘Mulheres’. She went on to appear in ‘Massa Fresca’, ‘Ouro Verde’ and ‘A Herdeira’ before making her film debut in ‘The Black Book’ in 2018.
That same year, she starred in the comedy-drama ‘Parque Mayer’, earning a Sophia Award nomination for Best Actress. She also voiced Gwen Stacy in the Portuguese dub of ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’.
Her international breakthrough came courtesy of James Gunn, who cast her as Cleo Cazo, aka Ratcatcher 2, in 2021’s ‘The Suicide Squad’. The role earned her a Best Newcomer nomination at the Portuguese Golden Globes.
Gunn later reportedly wrote the character of Ura in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ specifically for her. Melchior has since appeared in ‘Marlowe’, ‘Assassin Club’, ‘Fast X’, ‘Road House’ and the ‘Anaconda’ reboot alongside Jack Black and Paul Rudd.
Melchior has kept up the momentum in 2026. In April, she returned to screens in ‘Balls Up’, a Peter Farrelly comedy that premiered on Prime Video with a cast including Mark Wahlberg, Paul Walter Hauser, Molly Shannon, Benjamin Bratt, Eric André and Sacha Baron Cohen.

She also starred opposite Lili Reinhart in the independent film ‘American Sweatshop’. Her recent workout posts have also been seen as a peek at how she stays ready for the action-heavy roles that have become a big part of her career.
Up next is ‘Violent Night 2’, the sequel to the 2022 action comedy, directed by Tommy Wirkola. Melchior joins David Harbour, who returns in the lead role, along with Kristen Bell. The holiday film is set to open in the US on December 4, giving fans another chance to see her in action just in time for the festive season.
