‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ Director Opens Up About Natalie Portman’s Role

Ever since the official trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder has been released, Marvel fans aren’t stopping babbling about everything that the trailer has revealed about the 29th MCU entry. From the first look at Christian Bale’s main villain Gorr the God Butcher, to finally seeing Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster in action as Mighty Thor.

In a recent interview with Total Film (via GamesRadar+), director Taika Waititi talked about Jane’s role in the movie. Waititi confirmed that the movie will closely follow the source material, in which the character suffered breast cancer, and the only cure was to possess the power of Thor by wielding Mjolnir, which is now back in one piece after Hela shattered it in 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok. Total Film also revealed a new exclusive still from the movie, which you can check out below along with Waititi’s full statement.
