Thor Star Jaimie Alexander Wants ‘Lady Sif’ Spin-Off Series
Thor: Love and Thunder is finally set to open in theaters this week, and one of the characters that we will see again is Jaimie Alexander’s Lady Sif, Goddess of War. Alexander debuted as the character in the first Thor movie in 2011, and she reprised the role in 2013’s Thor: The Dark World. She was absent from Thor: Ragnarok due to scheduling conflicts with the TV series Blindspot which she was filming at the time, but she returned to the TV series Loki and provided the voice for the character in the What If…? animated series last year. With her return in Thor: Love and Thunder, the question about Lady Sif’s future in the MCU arose.
Jaimie Alexander is one of the actors who is beloved by fans although she didn’t have screen-time as much as the main characters. Recently, Alexander expressed her interest in reprising the role in her own spin-off series on Disney+, and she even said she would love Beta Ray Bill, to be introduced into the MCU through that series. Alexander expressed her interest on Instagram.
“If Lady Sif had a series, what would YOU like to see? I’m loving some #BetaRayBill What do you think @walter.simonson.5 ??#skuttlebutt #surtur #korbinite #thor #sif” — Jaimie Alexander
Ever since Marvel Studios started expanding the MCU through TV series on Disney+, numerous spin-off shows were announced. And when we look at it, Lady Sif getting a spin-off series would actually make a lot of sense, regardless if it’s going to be set in the present-day MCU, or if it’s going to be some prequel. For example, where was Lady Sif actually during Ragnarok? There’s plenty of material and holes in the MCU timeline where the Lady Sif spin-off could be set.
Marvel Studios is currently developing several spin-off shows for Disney+, including Agatha: House of Harkness, Echo, Armor Wars, in which Don Cheadle will return as War Machine, and others. There will be plenty of Marvel to watch in the years to come.
