Uma Thurman (56) Brings Sleek Tuxedo Glamour to the ‘Dexter: Resurrection’ Season 2 Premiere
The ‘Dexter’ franchise is celebrating a major milestone this year. The original series premiered on October 1, 2006, and two decades later, Michael C. Hall’s infamous serial killer is still finding new ways to keep audiences on edge.
‘Dexter: Resurrection’ gave the character a fresh start in New York City, and its first season introduced Uma Thurman as Charley, a former special operations officer who served as the right-hand woman to Peter Dinklage’s billionaire villain, Leon Prater. Charley left New York at the end of the season after discovering Prater had betrayed her trust.
Now Thurman is back, both on screen and on the red carpet. On Thursday, October 8, she arrived at the ‘Dexter: Resurrection’ Season 2 premiere in New York, held at the Dexter 20th Anniversary Museum Experience.
Thurman made a striking entrance in a black tuxedo-style blazer dress featuring glossy satin lapels. The tailored silhouette struck the perfect balance between power dressing and evening glamour. She paired the look with sheer black tights and black pointed pumps. A small silver clutch added a subtle touch of shine.

Her long blonde hair fell in soft, loose waves, keeping the overall styling elegant but effortless. Posed in front of the show’s blood-splattered logo, the classic black look felt fittingly dramatic.
Thurman’s return to the series was announced earlier this year. According to the Season 2 trailer, Charley is coming back to New York to settle an old score, setting her on a potential collision course with Dexter.

Thurman and Hall were spotted filming scenes together in Uptown Manhattan back in June, alongside director Marcos Siega. Production also took the cast to Times Square, one of the busiest spots in the city.
The new season finds Dexter caught between two killers at opposite ends of their careers. Brian Cox joins the cast as Don Framt, also known as the New York Ripper, a retired serial killer who still taunts the survivors of his past crimes.
Dan Stevens also joins as the Five Borough Killer, a fresh young face terrorizing the city in ways no one has seen before. Both actors have been added as series regulars. On top of that, Dexter is dealing with worsening eyesight, a complicated relationship with his son, Harrison, and an unexpected enemy: a midlife crisis.
The teaser playfully showed him getting an eye exam, with the premiere date appearing on the vision chart. Jack Alcott returns as Harrison Morgan, alongside Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine as Blessing Kamara and Kadia Saraf as Detective Claudette Wallace. Dominic Fumusa, Desmond Harrington and James Remar are also back.
