‘VisionQuest’ Episode Release Schedule Revealed as Marvel’s ‘WandaVision’ Trilogy Nears Its End
Marvel’s Disney+ era began with ‘WandaVision’ in 2021, and the story that started there is finally heading toward its conclusion. After ‘Agatha All Along’ continued the saga in 2024, Paul Bettany’s Vision is now getting a series of his own.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige framed ‘VisionQuest’ as the closing chapter of that trilogy when he presented it at D23 in August. The series picks up 1 year after the events of ‘WandaVision’ and puts Bettany’s synthezoid at the center of the story.
With the premiere just a week away, fans now have a full picture of when each episode will arrive. According to Cosmic Marvel, ‘VisionQuest’ launches with episodes 1 and 2 on October 14, followed by episodes 3 and 4 on October 21 and episodes 5 and 6 on October 28.
After those double-episode weeks, the schedule slows down for the final stretch. Episode 7 arrives on November 4, and the eighth and final episode streams on November 11. Marvel has confirmed the 2-episode premiere on Disney+, with new episodes dropping on Wednesdays.
The weekly approach means the series will keep fans talking for nearly a full month instead of being binged in one weekend. When the series begins, Vision has been rebooted and has escaped the people who wanted to turn him into a weapon. He has been in hiding ever since.

While avoiding capture, Vision must confront his own nature, resist Ultron’s influence and figure out the mystery surrounding his young companion. The trailers suggest that reality and fantasy will blur throughout the 8 episodes.
The latest trailer, released on October 1, shows both Bettany and James Spader in human and robot forms. One surreal moment even has Vision receiving a message from his son, who seems both real and not real.
Spader’s return is one of the show’s biggest draws. He hasn’t played Ultron since ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ in 2015, and the series centers on Ultron’s twisted father-son bond with Vision.
The 2 actors showed off that dynamic onstage at D23. “Frankly, I can’t believe it took you so long to turn to me,” Spader said, as Marvel.com reported, adding that Ultron has long been fascinated by humanity.
Bettany replied that he remembered Ultron being most interested in wiping humanity out. The exchange gave fans a preview of the sharp chemistry the show is built around. ‘VisionQuest’ brings together several of Marvel’s famous artificial intelligences. Emily Hampshire plays E.D.I.T.H., Orla Brady is F.R.I.D.A.Y., and James D’Arcy is J.A.R.V.I.S.

T’Nia Miller plays Jocasta, while Lauren Morais is Lisa Molinari and Ruaridh Mollica plays the grown-up Tommy Maximoff. Todd Stashwick, Diane Morgan, Polly Frame, Henry Lewis and Jonathan Sayer also star.
Behind the camera, Terry Matalas leads the series, with directors including Vincenzo Natali and Gandja Monteiro. ‘WandaVision’ and ‘Agatha All Along’ creator Jac Schaeffer serves as an executive producer alongside Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Mary Livanos and Bettany.
The project has been building for years. Deadline first reported a Vision spin-off in October 2022, and Marvel later confirmed the series as the end of the ‘WandaVision’ story before locking the premiere date in May. For anyone who needs a refresher, ‘WandaVision’ and ‘Agatha All Along’ total 18 episodes. That’s just enough time to catch up before Vision’s journey begins.
