‘Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freeks’ Prepares for Full Release This May
The Warhammer 40,000 franchise is one of the most popular gaming franchises of all time, as well as one of the most interesting ones. Launched back in 1987, the franchise has seen numerous releases during its almost 40-year run, and it is still very much alive and kicking.
Now, we are happy to share some information about a new game that will definitely make a lot of fans of the franchise very happy.
Fans might remember the Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freeks game, which has been in Early Access mode for some time now. Well, we are happy to confirm that the full version is launching very soon, and we have all the information you need.
Last year, the Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freeks vehicle combat game received its Early Access version. Since then, more than 250,000 players have accessed this version of the game and the developers now have some great news for the players.
Namely, on May 22, 2025, the game’s full version is officially coming out! The game will be available for a discounted price of $15.99 at launch, but all Early Access players will get the 1.0 update for free, as a gift to their loyalty and dedication, the developers have confirmed.
Developers describe the game as an “adrenaline-fueled combat racer set in the brutal Warhammer 40,000 universe!” Players will “drive ferocious vehicles equipped with powerful weapons and abilities into a full-throttle battle to the death” and “find that Speed Freeks is a fresh, Ork-y take on vehicle combat that you’ve never seen before.”
“We set out to make the Orkiest of Warhammer 40,000 games, and through our early access period we’ve had thousands of people help us achieve that goal – along with our previous publisher PLAION,” game director, Chris Mallinson, said. “Now with Wired Productions picking up the torch, we’re launching out of early access and into version 1.0 with a different approach that we think players will really appreciate and enjoy. We thank both partners for their dedication to the game, along with Games Workshop. We’re of course very happy to be back with our pals at Wired Productions, since we worked with them before on GRIP.
