‘Wario Land 4’ Joins Nintendo Switch Online’s GBA Library Next Week!

Nintendo has been keeping up a steady pace with updates to the Switch Online service, and next week, fans of classic Game Boy Advance games will be in for a treat. ‘Wario Land 4,’ the popular platformer starring the greedy hero Wario, will be added to the library on February 14th, 2025.

Originally released for the Game Boy Advance in 2001, ‘Wario Land 4’ is the fourth game in the ‘Wario Land’ series, following its predecessors on the Game Boy and the Virtual Boy. In this fun-filled adventure, Wario embarks on a journey to find treasure, but this time, things are a bit different.

Unlike in previous games, where Wario was invincible, here he’s vulnerable to attacks. However, he gains special abilities and transformations that help him on his quest. Wario can change into forms like Vampire Bat Wario, Bouncy Wario, and even Zombie Wario, making for a quirky and action-packed experience.

If you want to enjoy ‘Wario Land 4’ on your Nintendo Switch, you’ll need an active subscription to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service. This premium tier gives you access to a collection of classic games from various consoles, and ‘Wario Land 4’ is the latest addition to the Game Boy Advance library.

The game will be available on February 14th, 2025, for players in all regions where the service is offered, including Japan. The Japanese library will also get Wario Land 4 next week, bringing the fun to even more players worldwide.

‘Wario Land 4’ is joining a growing list of retro games available to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers. Just last week, ‘Ridge Racer 64’ was added to the service, giving fans of classic racing games something new to try. Earlier this year, Nintendo also expanded its library with a selection of Super Nintendo games, and it’s clear they’re continuing to bring more nostalgic titles for fans to enjoy.
