5. Annie Leonhart
Annie is a graduate of the 104th Training Corps and a former member of the Special Brigades. Trained from an early age in martial arts by her father, she was selected to become a warrior in the service of the Marley Empire.
In the year 845, she is sent on a mission to seize the Founding Titan, along with her companions Reiner, Bertolt, and Marcel. As the Female Titan, she serves as a major antagonist, until her defeat, where she decides to use her hardening powers against herself and is left in a comatose state.
4. Levi Ackerman
Levi Ackerman is the Survey Corps’ Tactical Squad Leader, and is widely known as the wall army’s most powerful soldier. He also participates in the Battle of Revelio and helps the Battalion defeat the Bestial Titan, the latter being beaten quite easily even.
After this battle, he is in charge of monitoring Zeke after it is captured but the latter turns into a titan and takes Levi with him. After that, he will find his head cracked by three traces and lost two fingers: the middle finger and the ring finger. But in the end, he manages to satisfy his desire to eliminate Zeke by chopping off his head.
3. Armin Arlert
Armin is an elite soldier in the Survey Corps. He is also a childhood friend of Eren and Mikasa, and one of the main protagonists of the series. Although physically he appears to be one of the weakest in the 104th Training Corps, his intelligence and genius make him an indispensable strategist in the army, especially when partnered with Major Hansi.
After the Battle of Shiganshina District, he succeeded Bertolt as wielder of the Colossus Titan. He also participates in the Battle of Revelio by single-handedly destroying Mahr’s fleet thanks to the power of the Colossus Titan. After this battle, his feelings for Eren are no longer reciprocal, which is why he will hit Eren for his conduct towards Mikasa. Following this, he helps the rest of the Survey Corps defeat Eren’s Founding Titan.
He will then be named 15th Major of the Survey Corps succeeding Hansi at his death. After that Armin faced his lifelong friend in a titan fight where Eren transformed into a Colossus Titan to compete with his friend. But they manage to defeat the Founding Titan and cancel the curse of the people of Ymir. Armin also seems to have an attachment with Annie, with whom he blushes at first sight.
2. Mikasa Ackerman
Mikasa was the ward of Eren’s parents, Grisha and Carla, and is one of the main protagonists of the series, alongside Armin. After her biological parents were murdered by human traffickers, Mikasa was rescued by Eren and lived with the Yeager family until Wall Maria fell. She is the last descendant of the Shogun clan who remained on Paradise Island, therefore related to the Azumabito family, and is, therefore, a high personality of Heazul.
Although she only wants to lead a peaceful life alongside those she loves, most notably Eren, Mikasa has entered the Walls Army. Later, she enlists in the exploration battalion to track and protect Eren. A combat genius, “worth more than 100 officers”, she becomes one of the Army’s greatest assets after Livai.
She also participates in the Battle of Revelio in an attempt to recover Eren. Following this battle, her true feelings are denounced by Eren who does not share them and rejects her with very heavy words. But when Eren triggered the great earthmoving she was unable to let him live and before killing him, he exchanged a tender kiss with him.
1. Eren Yeager
Eren is a member of the Survey Corps and the main protagonist of the series. He lived in Shiganshina District with his parents and Mikasa until Wall Maria fell. During the incident, Eren helplessly watched as his mother was devoured by a smiling Titan. This event aroused in Eren an intense hatred towards the Titans, to the point of desiring their total extermination.
Soon after, his father, Grisha, found him and gave him the key to his basement, begging Eren to return to Shiganshina one day to access it. He then injected Eren with Titan spinal fluid to impart his powers to him at the cost of his life. In the year 847, Eren, Mikasa, and their best friend Armin joined the 104th Training Corps.
All three graduated, with Eren placing 5th. They joined the Survey Corps after the Battle of Trost District. After finding the basement and connecting with his father’s spiritual heritage, Eren learned the truth about his father’s past, the history of the Titans, and the Outer World. Eren then made a promise to liberate the inhabitants of the three walls from their true enemy: the Marley Empire and all those in the Outer World who would dare to oppose the liberation of the people of Ymir.
As the story goes, Eren holds three of the Nine Titans. From his father, Eren inherited the Attack Titan and the Founding Titan. After devouring Lara during the Battle of Revelio, he also acquired the War Hammer Titan. After the battle of Revelio, he and his half-brother will make a plan to be able to obtain the power of the Founding Titan, but Eren will betray his brother and decides to go his own way, which is to eradicate all the nations of the world to protect his native island.
However, he will have his head cut off by Mikasa after exchanging a tender kiss. Following Eren’s death, the people of Ymir were freed from their curse and the power of the titans disappeared forever.
