Samara Weaving has had a whirlwind year both on and off screen. The Australian actress returned to her iconic bloodied wedding dress for ‘Ready or Not 2: Here I Come’, which turned a modest $14 million budget into more than $40 million worldwide, while her action comedy ‘Over Your Dead Body’ became the most-watched title on AMC+ in the U.S. after arriving on streaming.

Her personal life has been just as eventful. Weaving and her husband, writer-director Jimmy Warden, welcomed their first baby earlier this year, and she was later confirmed as Emma Frost in Marvel’s upcoming ‘X-Men’ reboot.

Now, the actress has been spotted enjoying some downtime across the pond. Weaving was recently seen heading out for dinner in London with her husband, Olivia Wilde, and a group of friends.

Photos from the evening show Weaving in a sleek, mostly black ensemble. She wore a long black leather coat with a fur-trimmed collar over a striped top, paired with black wide-leg trousers, and added a bright pop of color with a yellow box-style handbag.

Wilde opted for a more relaxed but polished look. She wore a long grey herringbone coat over a black top, light-wash jeans and tan lace-up boots, carrying a brown leather bag. Weaving and Warden first met in 2015 on the set of ‘The Babysitter’, where she played the lead role of Bee.

They kept their romance private for years before eventually going public, got engaged in 2019, and quietly married in July 2022. The couple has also collaborated professionally. Weaving starred in Warden’s directorial debut, ‘Borderline’, in which she played a 90s pop star.

The pair have spoken about their key rule for keeping their marriage strong, explaining that they try not to spend more than a few weeks apart when work takes them away. Weaving first revealed her pregnancy in December with a playful Instagram nod to her horror franchise.

Wilde has had a big year of her own. Her latest directorial effort, ‘The Invite’, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January, sparked a bidding war and was released in the U.S. in June.

The film stars Seth Rogen, Penélope Cruz and Edward Norton alongside Wilde herself, and follows a couple whose dinner party with their mysterious upstairs neighbors spirals into unexpected territory. It also received its UK premiere at SXSW London.

Wilde is also set to appear opposite Pedro Pascal in Tony Gilroy’s next film, ‘Behemoth!’, at Searchlight. She additionally appears in ‘I Want Your Sex’. For Weaving, the London outing comes during an exciting chapter in her career. Her casting as Emma Frost places her in one of Marvel’s most anticipated upcoming projects.

The ‘X-Men’ reboot, directed by Jake Schreier, is planned for May 5, 2028. Weaving joins a cast that includes Christopher Abbott as Professor X, Adam Driver as Mister Sinister, and Maya Boyd as Storm.

She also recently attended a SAG-AFTRA Foundation event for her film ‘Carolina Caroline’, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. Between her new role as a mom and her growing franchise résumé, a relaxed dinner with friends seems like a well-earned break.
