With just a few hours left until the premiere of Agatha All Along, we’re on the brink of exploring a new and enchanting corner of the MCU. The upcoming installment will follow Agatha Harkness and her makeshift coven of witches as they navigate their magical journey.

Set shortly after the events of WandaVision, the show begins with Agatha finding a way to escape her imprisonment. However, she returns to our world stripped of her powers, setting her on a perilous quest to reclaim her lost abilities.

The cast of the upcoming show includes Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness, Joe Locke as Billy Kaplan, and Sasheer Zamata as Jennifer Kale. Ali Ahn will portray Alice Wu-Gulliver, with Maria Dizzia, Paul Adelstein, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, and Okwui Okpokwasili in roles yet to be announced. Debra Jo Rupp will appear as Sharon Davis, Patti LuPone as Lilia Calderu, and Aubrey Plaza as Rio Vidal/Green Witch.

At yesterday’s purple carpet premiere, one notable guest was Xochitl Gomez, best known for her role as America Chavez in the MCU.

It’s likely that Gomez attended as a friend and might not have a role in the show, but there’s also a chance she could be reprising her role and playing a crucial part in the magical journey.

America Chavez is already linked to Doctor Strange, one of the MCU’s most notable magic users, and her unique powers could be instrumental for Agatha.

In the MCU, Chavez’s most distinctive ability is her power to open star-shaped portals to travel between dimensions and alternate realities. This power was central in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, where it played a key role in the plot.

It’s plausible that Agatha may need America Chavez to open a portal to the Witches’ Road.

The Witches’ Road is a mystical and perilous path accessible only to magic practitioners in the Marvel comics (and now the MCU). It’s used for traveling between magical realms and accessing hidden magical energies. Due to its dangers and the monstrous beings that inhabit it, the pathway is often described as a “death wish.”

Given Agatha’s loss of powers, she might find the Witches’ Road inaccessible and need America to help her navigate it.
