Premiere season for the Spider-Man franchise has always doubled as a fashion event, and this week proved no exception. As Tom Holland and Zendaya crisscrossed the globe promoting their fourth outing together as Peter Parker and MJ, fans have been tracking every single red carpet appearance almost as closely as the film’s plot details.

Zendaya and her longtime stylist Law Roach have leaned into a clear creative theme throughout the press tour, using each look to nod toward the film’s central symbol in increasingly inventive ways. That approach reached a new peak on Wednesday night in London.

The account Film Updates shared photos from the ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ UK premiere, where Zendaya arrived in a shimmering ivory gown that immediately became the talk of the internet. The dress was a couture ivory Tamara Ralph gown featuring a sculpted bodice and mermaid tail draped in delicate crystal threads designed to mimic the gossamer strands of a spider’s web, according to the Irish News. A separate report from Just Jared confirmed the piece was a Tamara Ralph FW26 Couture design paired with Mouawad jewelry.

The details didn’t stop there. A golden spider brooch sat at the base of her spine, mirroring a matching accessory clipped to husband Tom Holland’s tie. Rather than pulling from Spider-Man’s classic red and blue palette, the London ensemble wove the web motif directly into the dress’s construction itself, a subtler callback compared to the darker, more gothic looks Zendaya wore at earlier stops on the tour.

Holland matched the moment in his own way, stepping out in a burgundy Louis Vuitton suit with a matching tie and his own statement spider brooch. The couple posed together at the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square premiere on Wednesday, July 29, with co-star Marisa Tomei, who plays Aunt May, also seen affectionately holding Tom’s face for photographers. The pair have coordinated their outfits at nearly every stop this cycle, turning the press tour itself into a running fashion narrative fans have followed closely online.

Law Roach later spoke about the broader vision behind the tour’s spider-themed wardrobe. He described the concept as an abstract way of presenting the spider motif, calling it a kind of metamorphosis of a woman transforming into the creature, and noted the jewelry for one standout look came from Boucheron, he explained to Variety. That same philosophy appears to have guided the London gown, trading literal imagery for something more sculptural and refined.

The film itself has been generating plenty of buzz alongside the fashion. ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ debuted with a 91 percent fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes, extending a streak that has kept every one of Holland’s Spider-Man films above the 90 percent mark. The story picks up roughly four years after ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home,’ following Peter as he grapples with a world where MJ and Ned no longer remember him while a new threat emerges in New York. The film also stars Mark Ruffalo, Jon Bernthal, Jacob Batalon, Sadie Sink, Liza Colón-Zayas and Tramell Tillman, with Destin Daniel Cretton directing.

With the movie hitting UK theaters on July 31, the London premiere marked one of the final major stops before release. Which spider inspired look from this entire press tour deserves the crown, the shimmering London gown or one of the darker, gothic showstoppers from earlier stops?
