‘Florida Man’ Ending Explained: Do Mike and Delly Manage to Escape from Moss?
Welcome to the Ending Explained for Florida Man, a new crime series arriving on Netflix this week. The series stars a fantastic cast composed of Edgar Ramizes, Abbey Lee, Emory Cohen, Clark Gregg, Lex Scott Davis, and Clark Gregg. The series tells the story of a gambler who has fallen on hard times and is now working for a mobster. Now, when the mobster’s girlfriend disappears, the gambler must go searching for her in the great state of Florida, where strange things happen and where a local man is the protagonist of countless news reports.
Florida Man is entertaining and has solid production values. However, when it comes to creating a story that feels memorable, the series fails by playing it too safely. Considering that the title of the show comes from the famous meme that establishes Florida as one of the craziest places to be, Florida Man, the show, feels very tame in comparison. Fortunately, the series shines thanks to the work of its cast, especially Abbey Lee, who plays the perfect femme fatale, existing in another plane of reality. The series is, nonetheless, fun.

Do Mike And Delly Manage To Escape From Moss?
The series begins in Philadelphia, where it establishes three of the main characters. The first one is our protagonist, Mike. A gambler who has fallen into serious debt with a mobster named Moss. Mike now works for Moss to cover his debt and hopes for a normal life someday. However, Moss is violent and quite erratic, so it seems that the hope of getting out of debt isn’t particularly great. Mike works for Moss mainly as a driver and doing odds jobs here and there, including being a repo man of sorts for Moss.
Our second most important character is Delly, a beautiful, mysterious, and dangerous woman who serves as Moss’ girlfriend in the story. However, it seems that Delly is not with Moss because she wants to. She tells Mike they are both the same, as they took something from Moss and are now paying the price. In the case of Mike was money, but in the case of Delly, it was Moss’ heart. Moss truly loves Delly but won’t let her leave, even if she doesn’t love him back. Mike and Delly have clear feelings for each other and frequently go to bed together.

One night, after Delly and Moss have a fight, Mike is tasked with driving her home. They sleep together, and before returning to the house, Delly suggests they should just disappear and go wherever they want, somewhere far like Florida. We learn Mike is from Florida and doesn’t want to go back there again. On the next day, Delly disappears. Moss finds a couple of plane tickets, indicating that Delly could have gone to Florida. Mike is tasked once again with bringing her home, no matter what.
Mike travels to Florida, his home state, and he immediately finds himself in trouble. He is accused of violating a woman he was trying to save from drowning, and he gets bitten by a shark. We meet his sister, Patsy, and his father, Sonny, who now owns a bar near the swamps. Mike traces Delly to a cabin and sees her going in with a strange man. He hears the sound of shots, and when he goes inside, he finds Delly’s dead body. It is tragic. However, things will take a turn very soon.
Do Mike And Delly Find The Lost Gold?
Just when arriving in Florida, Mike steals a gun from a character named Sheriff Ketcher. Ketcher was on vacation with his family. Taking the kids to Disneyland and whatnot, but after Ketcher loses his gun, he also loses his soul. He ends up buying an illegal gun after he can get one by legal means, which results in the gun being a murder weapon. He gets in jail, and the inmates learn he is a policeman there. It all goes south for Ketcher, who ends up spending most of the series looking for his gun. It is an entertaining if somewhat tangential, plot line.
The real meat and potatoes of the show come in the form of a heist. Mike and Delly come across the opportunity to get their hands on some lost Spanish gold. We get a flashback where we see the conquistadors carrying their goal on their ship. The ship’s captain also falls prey to greed and ends up dooming himself and his crew. Mike and Delly recruit the help of Mike’s father, Sonny, and Sonny’s friend Buzz. However, when Moss arrives in Florida looking for Delly, things become even more complicated.

Moss becomes involved in the plan to find the gold and decides to take it all in exchange for the betrayal Mike and Delly have executed on him. However, they don’t know that Sonny has stolen the gold before then, and they find nothing inside the truck that was supposed to have it. Delly finally kills Moss and asks Mike to go with him, but he decides to go and check on her Ex-wife first. Sheriff Ketcher finally finds them and picks up his gun, and exits the story a happy man.
Mike’s ex-wife is safe in the end, and everything seems to be going as well as it can be. However, on the news, Mike sees that Buzz is dead and that he died with new alligator boots, which is exactly what he said he would, but with the gold. Mike realizes his father played them as he goes to visit him to let him know that he knows where the gold is and that he won’t see one coin of it. Mike arrives at a brand-new boat and finds massive loot. Delly also arrives simultaneously, and she asks Mike if he is there for the gold or for her. The episode ends as Mike smiles at Delly and joins hands.
