Morena Baccarin Filmed a Scene for ‘Deadpool 2’ That Injured Her Eyes – The Worst Part, It Never Made it to the Movie: “Hollywood Can Be Ruthless”

‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is the latest MCU release, and its box-office success indicates that fans are thoroughly enjoying it. The film featured the return of actors from previous installments, along with other beloved legacy characters from live-action Marvel properties.

Behind-the-scenes photos reveal that the cast had a great time making the movie, though this hasn’t always been the case for other entries in the franchise.

Morena Baccarin, who returned for ‘Deadpool & Wolverine,’ had previously discussed her dislike for the romantic scenes with Ryan Reynolds, citing the awkwardness of Deadpool’s costume as a major factor. She also shared on Michael Rosenbaum’s podcast that ‘Deadpool 2’ caused damage to her eyes.

In ‘Deadpool 2,’ Baccarin’s character dies early on but is later resurrected when Wade steals a time-traveling device from Cable. However, some scenes in the film turned out to be quite brutal.

They sunk the entire apartment in a tank underwater and we had to be weighed down so that I could sit in a chair — It had, like, an escape hatch, that you had to swim to find but it was also really dark, you know, and it was panic-inducing. It was awful.

The worst part is, that the scene ended up being cut from the film.

“It wasn’t even in the film, made me so mad,”
