Vin Diesel just gave us a fresh look at his upcoming sci-fi action flick. The star shared a new image from ‘Riddick: Furya,’ the fourth chapter in the beloved franchise, and it’s safe to say it looks downright awesome. This latest glimpse has me buzzing with excitement for what’s in store when Richard B. Riddick returns to the big screen.

The ‘Riddick’ series kicked off back in 2000 with ‘Pitch Black,’ a gritty space survival tale that put Diesel on the map as the tough-as-nails antihero. That film quickly earned a loyal following, leading to ‘The Chronicles of Riddick’ in 2004, which expanded the universe with a bigger budget and wilder ideas. Then came ‘Riddick’ in 2013, keeping the character’s edge sharp. Now, after years of waiting, ‘Riddick: Furya’ is finally happening, and Diesel’s latest image proves it’s worth the wait.

Diesel’s no stranger to blockbuster franchises—just think of his ‘Fast & Furious’ run—but ‘Riddick’ feels personal for him. He’s been teasing this project for ages, and he’s not just starring in it—he’s producing it too, alongside his sister Samantha Vincent under their One Race Films banner. David Twohy, the guy who’s been steering the Riddick ship since day one, is back to write and direct. Their partnership goes way back, covering not just the movies but also video games like ‘Escape from Butcher Bay’ and even an animated short, ‘The Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury.’

Filming for ‘Riddick: Furya’ started late last year, bouncing between spots like Germany, Spain, and the UK. Diesel’s been dropping behind-the-scenes goodies for a while now, like shots of him in the desert or behind the wheel of a dune buggy.

The Riddick franchise has always had a knack for blending sci-fi with raw action, and I can’t wait to see how they tackle Furya itself. The planet’s been a mystery since the early days, and now we’ll finally get to explore it. With Riddick facing off against both a monster and his own kind, the stakes feel higher than ever. Plus, Diesel’s still got that commanding presence that made the character a hit in the first place.

No release date’s locked in yet, but with production rolling and Diesel sharing these killer updates, ‘Riddick: Furya’ is shaping up to be a must-watch.
